How is a volcano formed?
A volcano is a vent through which rocks known as magma rises from underground to the Earth. Magma erupting from a volcano which builds up around the volcano surrounding the vent.
Where are volcanoes located?
The west coast of the America, the east coast of Sibera,Japan,the phillipines,Indonesia,and island chains. An important clue to understanding volcanoes is knowing the location of the volcanic bands. Many of the world's active volcanoes are located around the edges of the Pacific Ocean.

There are five types of volcanoes
1.Caldera
A Caldera volcano makes holes in the ground when a the volcano falls.There hasn't been any recent irruptions form Caldera volcanoes.The last irruption was in Tambora in which they didn't have any summer for the whole year.The three most famous examples are in north America are Yellowstone,crafter lake and long valley.
2.Cinder cone
Cinder cone is made from drops of lava from a one vent.Cinder cones aren't famous of the eruptions usually the don't cause any loss of life's.Cinder cones are among the most common volcanic landforms.The volcano forms when ash, cinders and bombs pile up around the cone.
3.Shield Volcano
Shield Volcano is like lots of runny lava. The Shield volcano is formed from fluid lava that can travel long distance.It has long slopy sides its usually is surrounded the volcano is produced by the action of gas.The action melts the rocks the rocks turning it into magma.the preasure from the heat of the gas pushes the magma up until it explodes.
4.Stratovolcano
Stratovolcano is a tall and conical volcano. It is composed of many layers of lava and volcanic ash. They have a high profile and erupted many times. It spills out viscous lava which cools out before spreading far. The source of magma of the stratovolcano is acidic and having a high silica.Stratovolcano is stacked up of lava
5.Lava Dome
Viscous lava does not flow easily and cools and crystalizes before it goes very far from a vent. They can be made up of more than one lava flow.A Lava Dome is rough and shaped at a circular mound-shaped.

Like on 1986, a small explosion on Lake Nyos, Cameroon in western Africa put out a cloud of volcanic gases that were extremely toxic. The fumes killed over 1,700 people that were living in the village.The main cloud was full of carbon dioxide.
